APC 1200
The Amtek APC 1200, (Beam Coping Machine) is a preprogrammable and operator manually programmable structural steel coping system. It cuts and bevels. There are two systems, Oxy Fuel only and Combination Oxy Fuel/Plasma (Each one can be purchased with upgraded options.)
Basic Oxy Fuel Unit
The basic APC1200 unit is a semi-automatic, oxy-fuel coping machine. The operator positions the workpiece, fine tunes it, starts the cut and adjusts the torch height while cutting. (Automated laser option available.) The APC 1200 comes with powered conveyors moving material for ease of measuring and for manually marking the X length on the feed stock. (Optional automated Laser measuring available.) Operator can input material type and scroll through picture options on the touch screen and it is programmed with all AISC structural steel dimensions. Settings can be overwritten and customized as needed, and it can be stored as a new program. The machine can also be pre-programmed from the office through DSTV exported drawings. There is a wireless remote control that the operator uses to start, stop and operate the equipment to view product from any angle needed and maintain accuracy.Upgraded Plasma/Oxy Fuel Unit
Along with the basic unit that has some optional upgrade features, there is also the fully upgraded APC 1200. It has combination plasma and oxy-fuel cutting with both torches mounted on a pivoting head. They will flip one to the other interchangeably via computer control in a second without having to do anything manually. The machine is operated primarily with the Plasma to maximize efficiency. It is preprogrammed to automatically switch to the Oxy Fuel when the material thickness is beyond the cutting capacity of the Plasma. This upgraded unit comes standard with the laser probing for automatic height adjustment.- Longer Conveyors and Cross Transfer Rails are available options for both units.
- X-axis measuring is an option for both. Except for the manual starting of the oxy-fuel torch this option and the laser probe turns the machine into being fully automated.
- Both units can cut and bevel plate 40” wide and less.
